Historical Museum - Panagurishte is a cultural institution with rich funds and a well-buildstructure. It has five specialized departments and two service units - a library and a fund. The museum complex includes the Historical Exposition dedicated to the April Uprising, the vault hall of Panagyurishte's treasure, the Dudekova House, the Jounova House, the Sinia Hadjidimitrova House, the Byala Hadzhidimitrova House, the House of Raina Knyaginya, the Tuteva House, the Lekova House, the Drinova House, the Natural History Museum . The museum serves the Apriltsi Memorial Complex, dedicated to the participants in the April Uprising of 1876 and the historical site "Oborishte".
The Panagyurishte Museum is active in research and publishing. It has created and maintains several attractive tourist products. It presents temporary exhibitions and organizes other events related to the town, region and country. It is convincingly presented on the Internet and in the information space as a whole. It works with educational institutions - schools and universities, to popularize the cultural heritage of Panagyurishte and Bulgaria.
