The museum was established in 1953. It is housed in a special building located in the center of the town. It maintains archaeological and ethnographic expositions. It takes care of the Archaeological Reserve "Hissarya". The Fund is not large- over 4000 museum units, but is representative and diverse. It enjoys interest both from the residents and from the guests of the resort village.
