The museum in Dupnitsa was established in 1992. It is a successor of the museum collection of the non-functioning Stanke Dimitrov House Museum. It supports a fund of over 7,000 museum units. Its structure includes five specialized and three administrative departments. Main exhibition are in the Youth House, the Ethnographic Museum and the Art Gallery. It takes care of the unmovable values in the town and the region. It partners with the Municipality in the preparation and creation of tourist products and the promotion of the local cultural heritage.
