The museum is more widely known with the name Music Center “Boris Hristov”. The house, where the music center is located, was home to the great opera singer Boris Hristov and was built by his parents in the 1920s. With the explicit desire to be converted into a cultural center, in 1977 the house was donated by Boris Hristov to the state and since then has been managed by the Ministry of Culture. The Center houses an art gallery, a museum exposition about Boris Hristov and a hall with 50 seats, which inspires awe with the grand piano “Boesendorfer”. In the museum are held concerts, public lectures, literary readings and business cocktails. There are also three rooms, painted in different shades, in each of which is “made” a different type of art – dance, music and dance theater.
The Center has the status of a state cultural institute of the Ministry of Culture.
