The State Art Gallery in Veliko Tarnovo is one of the oldest and richest galleries in the country.Founded in 1934, the gallery collects and stores works of Bulgarian artists and shows the development of Bulgarian art over the years.

 The three sections - painting, graphics and sculpture are situated on an area of ​​850 square meters, and the museum exhibits, collected in them are 5530. Here you can see the canvases of Vladimir Dimitrov - The Master, Boris Denev, Nikola Tanev and many others.

 On the first floor are exhibited works on theme "Veliko Tarnovo through the eyes of the artist", which is updated periodically. On the second floor the gallery exhibits works from its fund, as well as works of visiting exhibitions.

 Veliko Tarnovo Gallery is located in the very heart of the town, located in a beautiful building in the park "Asenevtsi", where you can admire a magnificent view of the old town of Tarnovo. Only a few meters from the gallery is the Asenevtsi Monument, which was built in 1985 on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the uprising of the brothers Asen and Peter.
